I may be watching too many UFO conspiracy shows.
The ships, clouds and sky were done in Photoshop and the trees and light post were taken out of a picture I took last summer. The middle version is an old photo effect I made up on the fly and the black & whites are based off the yellow (left) and green (right) channels of the final composite.
